About us...

Our 4-H club is intended to provide learning experiences for youth interested in the care of animals or perhaps are considering a career in veterinary science. Members complete the 4-H Vet Science Units 1, 2 & 3.

Meetings ...
Our club meets in the Small Conference Room at the Westmoreland County Cooperative Extension Office (unless otherwise stated), the fourth (4th) Tuesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. We invite guest speakers, usually veterinarians, who will feature different animal topics.

Activities ...
We plan fun animal related field trips to destinations like the Pittsburgh Zoo, Powdermill Nature Reserve and the National Aviary.

Upcoming Events:

• April 25 - Presentations/All forms & dues. Work on Club exhibit and scrapbook ideas. April 23 - 25, 2006 Penn State Capitol Days.
• May 23 - K-9 police officer demonstration/presentations. Work on projects. May 8 - County Council. May 15, Action for Animals/Auction, 6:00 p.m. Mt. View.
• June 27 - Presentations/work on Project. June 5, County Council.
• July 26 - Discuss Shop & Save Days - July 28 & 29, 2006. Club date & time to be determined.
• August - Finalize work on Project and Scrapbook - dates TBA. August 18 - Fair clean up. August 18 - 26 - Westmoreland Fair, August 24 - Benefit Auction @ Fair.
• September 26 - Completion of Project Books. Must be handed in at this meeting. September 11, County Council.
• October 24 - MEETING AT OUR HOME - Bonfire Meeting & pumpkins. October 9 - County Council.
• November 28 - End of Year/Holiday Party - 6:00 p.m. November 6 - County Council.
